Install the Adobe After Effects plugin
If the plugin for Adobe Premiere Pro is already installed, update to the latest version by following these instructions.
If the plugin is not installed, follow these steps:
- Close Adobe After Effects: Ensure After Effects is not running before starting the installation.
- Access the Plugin: Visit the Epidemic Sound plugin page in Adobe Creative Cloud. Log in with an Adobe ID if necessary.
- Install: Click the "Install" button at the top right of the page.
- Open After Effects: Once installation is complete, launch Adobe After Effects. The plugin will be found under Window > Extensions > Epidemic Sound.
How to login to the After Effects plugin?
To download tracks, an active subscription is required. When attempting to download a track, a prompt will appear to log in or create an account within the plugin.
Follow the on-screen instructions to log in via a browser. Once the process is complete, a message will appear saying, "All done! You may close this window." The plugin will then show the logged-in status.
How is the plugin updated?
For the best experience, keep the plugin updated to the latest version. If an update is available, a banner will appear at the top of the plugin. Click the link in the banner to update to the latest version.
What should be done if a personal plan is active but the plugin cannot be used?
- Check the Account: Ensure the correct account is logged in by clicking on “Settings” (located under the three horizontal bars in the top right corner).
- Contact Support: If logged in correctly and the subscription is valid, but the plugin still cannot be used, contact the support team for assistance.
Can MCN users use the After Effects plugin?
Currently, MCN users are not supported for file downloads in the After Effects plugin. Support for this is being worked on and is hoped to be available soon.
Where are music files stored, and can the folder location be changed?
By default, music files downloaded via the After Effects plugin are stored in the project bin. The download location can be changed by accessing Settings (found under the three horizontal bars in the top right corner).
How are stems found in the Adobe After Effects plugin?
If a track is liked and its stems are needed, click the three dots (...) next to the track. Select "Show Stems" to view and download individual stems.
Does the plugin work with Adobe After Effects Beta?
Yes, the plugin is compatible with the beta version of Adobe After Effects.
What versions of After Effects are compatible with the Epidemic Sound plugin?
The Epidemic Sound plugin is compatible with Adobe After Effects version 23.0 and later.
